A haunting tale of a soldier pushed to the edge, Woyzeck is a raw, fragmented portrait of oppression, madness, and human vulnerability. Based on Georg Büchner’s unfinished masterpiece, this performance confronts the brutality of class, the fragility of the mind, and the desperation for dignity in a world without mercy.

Rage and Feminine Energy: TD AMPLIFY Episode 1
TD AMPLIFY kicks off its 2026 season this January with Episode 1, featuring the talents of duo Rita Rebetskaya and Polina Káulio, dancer Sierra Oszust, and the band SHYFRiEND. Blending physical theatre, dance, and music from three very diverging acts, Episode 1 centres on exploring liminality using the feminine form as the medium.

ABOUT
MurMur Theatre is an independent theatre company founded by artists in Calgary. We create visually expressive, body-oriented performances at the intersection of physical theatre, contemporary drama, and live art.
Rooted in experimentation, presence, and emotional resonance, our work draws inspiration from European modern theatre. We favour movement, metaphor, and minimalism over spectacle. Each project is a meticulously crafted inquiry into perception, memory, and the unspoken.

Rita Rebetskaya
Director,
Co-Artistic Director
Director, choreographer, and dancer with 15+ years of international experience. She holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Research and Creation from the University of Calgary and participates in the TD Incubator at the Werklund Centre. Her work has been presented at Fluid Festival, Fringe Festival, and Alchemy Festival.
Polina Kaulio
Scenographer,
Co-Artistic Director
Stage designer working with immersive and experimental forms rooted in minimalism and surrealism. She brings nearly 20 years of experience in theatre production, with projects spanning Europe and Asia. She is an MFA candidate in Theatre Design at the University of Calgary and participates in the TD Incubator at the Werklund Centre.
